I’m Alice Kirkup and I am captaining the Ladies 1 XI for the 2021-22 season. Although I am relatively new to SHC (joining the club in 2020, mid-covid), I have previous experience of captaining hockey and netball teams at school, club, and university level. As someone who has really struggled the last two years without any team sport being permitted, my aim is to encourage as many people to get involved in Ladies hockey as possible- whatever their ability. I’m really looking forward to pushing individuals to achieve their potential, on and off the pitch, as well as securing some wins against some tough opposition!
