SHC Women's 1st team triumphed against previous league champions, Ben Rhydding 3s, with a 5-3 win!

With a full squad of 16, the women fought hard to secure the win in front of their home crowd. Whilst both teams alternated goals throughout the match, Scarborough stole the show with fantastic open-play goals to seal the victory.

First Half Overview
The match started off with Scarborough dominating the opposition’s defensive side. After many tenacious attacks, Scarborough got the first goal of the game, scored by Tilly Fenton! The rest of the half saw three more goals from both teams, ending the half with a 2-2 standing.

Second Half Overview
Ready to fight for the win, Scarborough ladies regrouped and came back stronger! With great teamwork and excellent passing, three more goals were scored by the relentless team. Tilly Fenton scored a spectacular hat trick, showcasing impressive manoeuvres around players. Carla Zimmermann added a well-placed goal, and our determined Nicola Keulder stunned all with her ‘smash hit’ of a goal!

The highlight of the game was a superb penalty flick save from goalkeeper Becks Lalor in the second half, preventing the team from falling 3-2 behind.
