SHC M2 Edged Out by Brigg M3 in Thrilling 4-3 Defeat!

Introduction
SHC M2 travelled to Brigg M3 for what was always set to be a tightly contested fixture. Despite battling back from behind to take the lead, a late goal sealed Scarborough’s fate in a narrow 4-3 loss.

First Half Overview
The match began at a fast pace, with both teams jostling for control in a high-stakes encounter between sides close together at the top of the table. Brigg took the lead after 15 minutes in a well-matched first half, where Scarborough created chances but couldn’t find the breakthrough. Just before the break, Brigg doubled their advantage, leaving SHC with work to do in the second period.

Second Half Overview
A tactical adjustment at half-time saw Chris Instone and John Atkinson share the sweeper role, giving Scarborough a stronger defensive foundation to build on. Youngster Jacob Hesp battled through Brigg’s physical defence to convert Scarborough’s first goal, bringing the score to 2-1.
